L4440 vector

L4440 vector is an RNAi plasmid that can produce the desired dsRNA carried by E. coli HT115. The desired dsDNA can be fed to worms through the intestinal tract. L4440 plasmid contains DNA sequence from the targeted gene clone between two T7lac promoters. It also contains a selectable marker conferring resistance to an antibiotic, usually carbenicillin, which is stable compared to ampicillin. The L4440 vector is often used to largely produce the desired dsRNA in HT115 E. coli.
